Founded in Vienna, Austria, forwarding agents are united under FIATA (the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations). Fiata currently has some 5500 individual members, but represent the interests of roughly 40,000 forwarding agencies all around the globe. FIATA is a forwarder's go-to for rules and regulations, documents and forms, training and courses.
