Said to contain (STC) is a phrase used by the shipping company in the bill of Lading when describing the goods loaded on board in a sealed container. They have no first hand knowledge of what was loaded in the container as they were not there when this was loaded. They are not denying that the quantity invoiced is actually the quantity shipped, they just make reservations on this as they simply cannot verify this themselves
